Song of the Wind
Rast-Panjgah

Song of the Wind is a journey of sound, in time and across time.
The flow of sounds through various musical landscapes, sometimes rushing, sometimes slowly, passing through places, pathways, and perspectives. The rhythmic patterns of the sounds and their brief execution while moving from one place to another (from mode to mode) throughout the piece evoke the nostalgic restlessness of the wind, and returning to the original home (first mode) means that the Wind Song – here – is the song of the wind returning home!

Remote Romances
Composer and Singer: Hossein Mohammadi
Remote Romances is the result of Hossein Mohammadi’s interaction with composing, playing, and singing, combined with classical Persian poetry and elements of Iranian music, presented in a non-classical album. The chosen poems are romantic, reflecting the composer’s concern for using profound classical poetry in pieces of romantic vocal music. These are the kinds of compositions that have been most popular with audiences for ages. As a result of creating this album, elements of pop, jazz, rock, and classical music can be heard in various sections of these pieces. Hossein Mohammadi (born September 1989) is a master’s degree graduate in composition, singer, and classical guitar player.
